When I hear the word HAZELNUT… I don’t think about toasted hazelnuts in the fire, or even the decadence of nutella spread on a slice of toast… Nope… I think about woolies honey nut latte.

I think it was this decadent drink that started me on my coffee drinking journey.

I can smell the sweet nuttiness even now, as I type this to you!

But I digress… as I tear away from my coffee moment… let me get back to one of Pantone’s latest colours: Hazelnut!

PANTONE 14-1315 Hazelnut

Rounding out the spring 2017 colors is Hazelnut, a key neutral for spring. This shade brings to mind a natural earthiness. Unpretentious and with an inherent warmth, Hazelnut is a transitional color that effortlessly connects the seasons.

Each Moodboard has a story…

When I create a moodboard for a client, I believe that my moodboard tells a story of that person’s brand, and what it’s like to work with that person.

So what is this mood boards “story”?

Alexandra is tired of wearing the “well polished” persona.

She can see her dream life and home now… John is outside playing in the garden with the kids, whilst she sets her family table for dinner – as she runs her hand over the natural authentic wood… she feels grounded again! As she places the salad bowl on the table, the dappled light starts dancing around her, enticing her to look around this amazing space. She is incredibly aware of this moment, the joy she feels inside… life is complete.

and then she blinks and realises that she is actually standing outside of the office, and she’s reminded of the 200 page magazine spread that is waiting for her to approve, when she catches a glimpse of herself in the mirror, she knows that her dress looks gorgeous – but it doesn’t feel like her.

She can see the dream life, but it feels cities, rivers, and mountains away from where she is right now.

That’s until she spots Emily’s article, and she realises that the answer is probably staring her in the face.

She starts working with Emily, and slowly but surely, Emily helps her discover her authentic self, her core – buried deep in the “nut’s” of life.

Alexandra begins to relax into her authentic self, she finds her texture + authenticity as Emily peels away the layers.

Slowly, they work on bringing her flavour to life, infusing the dream life into daily tasks… soon, she is living her decadent hazelnut swirled life!

See how this moodboard showcases how Alexandra get’s to work with Emily – how the moodboard illustrates the whole process, in one graphic!
